Gayle Carlson Mondie is an artist who is as active in art organizations as she is in her studio. In addition to her involvement with the Antioch Fine Arts Foundation, she’s served on the board of the Transparent Watercolor Society of America for close to 10 years.
Her organizational involvement provides a sense of purpose in the greater community, while her studio time offers a personal sense of expression which is at once liberating and at times challenging. Working in various media, with a growing focus on pastels, and a long time love of watercolor, and clay, she enjoys the process as much as the outcome.
Last year, Gayle started Creative Ministries at Joyful Spirit Church. This ministry is open to all people. It brings creativity, which is in all who wish to explore it, to life.
Gayle has shown her work in many one and two woman shows, and in 2012 her watercolor, “Parking It”, was accepted into the TWSA’s National Juried Exhibition.
